The way people learn to drive is evolving...an active learning approach is more engaging and interesting for you. It keeps you motivated and ensures you become a fully aware, safe and responsible driver...

'Real driving' skills are an essential part of learning to drive...such as independent route planning and driving; freestyle manoeuvres, drive throughs, filling up, music, driving with passengers, and advanced parking skills.

A summary of the benefits of active learning: enhances your involvement and makes lessons more engaging & fun; you become more responsible for learning and your choices; you will have greater confidence in your own and safe decision-making skills; you will feel much better prepared for driving solo.

If you would prefer the traditional instructor-led way of being taught, then that's fine, just let me know. These are your lessons, you are the client and I will work with you to find out how you learn best.

Unprecedented Demand for Driving Lessons

There is currently a national backlog of several hundred thousand people waiting to take a DVSA driving test. These backlogs are preventing new students starting, therefore demand for driving lessons & tests is at unprecedented high levels.

As my waiting list now exceeds 8 months, I am not able to take on any more new learner drivers for the foreseeable future. I am therefore also unable to add any more clients to my waiting list, which I have now closed down.

I welcome all students to my driving lessons, especially nervous drivers, as I am a Certified Driving Test Nerves Specialist through the LOF A WAY 2 PASS scheme.

I provide WEEKDAY Automatic driving lessons of the highest quality and can tailor my lessons to the individual needs of my students.

I am a Grade A, DVSA certified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), trained in adult coaching and training techniques. I am also an advanced driver with IAM RoadSmart, and a Gold standard advanced driver with RoSPA. The training I give will therefore be of the highest standard.

I have a calm and relaxed demeanour, a vital attribute for doing this work, so rest assured that you have the services of an exceptionally highly qualified driving instructor here in York.

I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible, conducting it in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner. I firmly believe in making all my pupils feel at ease during their driving lessons, whilst having fun learning to drive.

I utilise the latest teaching methods and materials to improve my learners' experience. The terms and conditions I operate, mean that you can be assured of a great customer experience, with you at the centre of activity. This is your guarantee of what you can expect of me.
